FAQ

HOW DOES THIS PUB CRAWL WORK?

You must have an official Pub Crawl lanyard to participate. We will have lanyard pickup nights at Lef Cannabis (653 S. Lapeer Rd., Oxford, MI 48371) from 9am – 9pm, Monday, June 23 – Friday, June 27 (day of the Pub Crawl). Lanyards will not be mailed. If you order the day of, your lanyard will be at Lef Cannabis Co. from 9am – 9pm on June 27.

Your lanyard entitles you to drink specials, beads at participating locations and the provided shuttle service.

Once you receive your lanyard, you are all set to start at ANY of the participating locations on Pub Crawl Day. Participants crawl at their own pace instead of all together in one huge group. Patriotic wear/gear isn’t required, but it is HIGHLY encouraged!

Please email info@ouramericansummer.com with any questions. Please DO NOT contact the sponsors, bars or restaurants. We are happy to help you!

Thank you for your participation! We look forward to seeing you on June 27th all over Lake Orion and in Downtown Oxford! A special THANK YOU to all of our sponsors: Presenting Sponsors – Lef Cannabis Co., Stiiizy and Deals By Me!

The more pictures you post the more chances to win. Winners will be selected at random.

SHUTTLES!

Shuttle service will be provided to all participating locations from 5pm to midnight. There will be multiple NOTA buses and the Orion/Oxoford Trolley running loops with estimated pick-up times every 1/2 hour! Routes will be posted on our Facebook page and website as the event gets closer to help you plan your journey. Donations to NOTA during your ride are encouraged. The lanyard is your ticket to ride the bus.

FREE STUFF!

On top of great drink specials, all participants will receive beads at each location, swag from our sponsors (while supplies last) and entry into all participating bars. Also, you will receive a special gift bag from our sponsors Lef Cannabis Co., Stiiizy (make sure to wear it on the Crawl for even more chances to win prizes), $10 ticket to Wildwood Ampitheater to the July 12th U2 show, compliments of Orion.Events and more!

DRINK SPECIALS!

All participating locations will have their own drink specials, which will be posted on our website ouramericansummer.com and our Facebook page.

**Drinking is 100% optional! Although this is a “pub crawl”, that doesn’t mean you are required to drink to participate. You do not have to purchase drinks at any bar in order to participate. We love and welcome Designated Drivers to join us. If you do choose to drink, please drink responsibly.

All participants must be 21 or older, present valid ID, and consume alcohol responsibly; Lake Orion’s American Summer LLC acts solely as event organizer, does not serve or supervise alcohol service, and disclaims any liability for alcohol-related incidents.

BENEFITING A LOCAL NON-PROFIT!

Lake Orion’s American Summer is a local Lake Orion, MI business. We certainly believe in giving back to our community, so a portion of the proceeds from our event will be donated to the Stronger Together campaign, supporting the operations of the Downtown Trolley, connecting Lake Orion and Oxford.

PARTICIPANT WAIVER & RELEASE

Lake Orion’s American Summer LLC

Before purchasing your ticket, please read this Participant Waiver & Release (“Waiver”) carefully. It is a binding contract between you (the “Participant”) and Lake Orion’s American Summer LLC (“American Summer”), a Michigan limited liability company. It explains the risks of attending the American Summer Pub Crawl (the Event) and the rights you give up by doing so. If anything is unclear, consult an attorney. Your agreement is a condition of entry.

1.     DEFINITIONS

a.     “American Summer” means Lake Orion’s American Summer LLC, acting solely as the curator and coordinator of the Event; it does not operate or control any transportation provider or Venue.

b.     “Event” means the American Summer Pub Crawl, including the initial shuttle ride arranged by a Third Party Transportation Provider and all scheduled or optional stops.

c.     “Participant” means the individual who purchases, holds, or uses a ticket (including transferees) and who electronically accepts this Waiver.

d.     “Venues” mean independently owned bars and restaurants visited during the Event; each controls its own premises and alcohol service.

e.     “Third-Party Transportation Provider” means any independent carrier hired to provide Participant transportation. Such providers are not agents of American Summer and operate independently. The Third-Party Transportation Provider is solely responsible for its own vehicles, drivers, safety practices, and legal compliance.

f.      “Sponsors” mean businesses or individuals who fund or promote the Event and are distinct from American Summer.

g.     “Released Parties” means American Summer, its Sponsors, and every person or entity identified in the RELEASE OF LIABILITY section.

h.     “Ticketing Platforms” means American Summer’s official online ticketing channels, including without limitation its own website, Eventbrite pages, or any third-party site approved by American Summer.

2.     ELIGIBILITY & VOLUNTARY PARTICIPATION

The Event is strictly 21+, and you must show valid government ID upon request. You affirm that you are of sound mind and legally able to contract under Michigan law. If you received your ticket from someone else, you must still accept this Waiver before entry. Participation is voluntary, and you may leave at any time, but the protections in this Waiver will survive. Each Venue decides for itself whom to admit or remove, and American Summer has no authority over those decisions.  Likewise, American Summer may refuse entry to the initial shuttle or remove a Participant from its curated activities—without refund—for safety, intoxication, or disruptive conduct.

3.     ASSUMPTION OF RISKS

Attending the Event involves inherent dangers—transportation accidents, walking hazards, unsafe premises, alcohol-related injury, third-party acts, severe weather, communicable diseases, theft, and other unforeseen events. These may arise from your actions, those of others, or conditions beyond American Summer’s control. You knowingly and voluntarily assume all such risks and accept full responsibility for any injury, loss, or damage. You further acknowledge that American Summer does not own, operate, manage, supervise, inspect, or in any way warrant the safety, condition, services, or legal compliance of any Venue; each Venue remains solely responsible for its own premises, staff, and operations. Any itinerary, list, or map supplied by American Summer is for convenience only and is not a mandate or endorsement of a particular establishment. You agree to consume alcohol responsibly, wear suitable footwear, and report hazards to American Summer staff.

4.     RELEASE OF LIABILITY

To the fullest extent permitted by Michigan law, you irrevocably release and forever discharge the Released Parties from any and all claims, losses, or damages—known or unknown—arising out of or related to your participation, including those caused by the negligence of any Released Party. This includes personal injury, death, property damage, alcohol-related harm, disease exposure, or venue conditions.

5.     DEFENSE, INDEMNIFICATION & HOLD-HARMLESS

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold the Released Parties harmless from any claim, suit, or expense (including attorneys’ fees) arising from: your own acts or omissions; the acts of anyone using a ticket you purchased or transferred; or your breach of this Waiver or the law. Your duty to defend applies even to unfounded allegations, and you must reimburse defense costs within thirty days of demand.

6.     HEALTH & COMMUNICABLE DISEASE

You certify that you are healthy and accept all risks of exposure to illnesses such as COVID-19. The Released Parties bear no responsibility for any resulting infection, medical cost, or loss of income.

7.     ALCOHOL & CONDUCT

Alcohol is sold only by the licensed Venues. You will follow all laws and venue rules, refrain from providing alcohol to anyone under 21, and arrange safe transport after the crawl. American Summer’s involvement with transportation ends after arranging the initial shuttle; return or onward travel is your sole responsibility. Harassment, violence, or vandalism will result in removal without refund.

8.     PHOTO, VIDEO & MARKETING RELEASE

Participant grants American Summer and its affiliates, licensees and assigns a perpetual, worldwide, royalty-free, transferable and sublicensable right to use Participant’s name, voice, image, likeness, photograph, video and any statements made by Participant (collectively, “Materials”) in any media now known or later developed, for any lawful purpose without further approval or payment. Released Parties may use the Materials in connection with the Event and any future events, programs, materials, or campaigns related in whole or in part to American Summer’s business activities. The right to modify and adapt includes, without limitation, the right to crop, resize, add graphics or text, alter colors, and incorporate the Materials into composite images or video productions. Participant agrees that no further approval, payment, or consideration shall be required for any use of the Materials, and waives any “moral rights” or “droit moral” or similar rights under any jurisdiction. This release is perpetual and shall survive the termination of this Waiver. If Participant reasonably believes that any specific use of the Materials is objectionable, Participant may submit a written removal request to American Summer’s designated representative. Released Parties agree to consider such requests in good faith and, to the extent practicable and reasonable, will remove or cease the specific requested use. However, Released Parties shall have no obligation to remove Materials from third-party platforms or materials already in circulation, and Participant acknowledges that complete removal may not be possible.

9.     SPONSORS

Sponsors help fund or promote the Event only. They do not control transportation, alcohol service, or venues. Participants agree that any Sponsor liability is limited to claims arising solely from advertising content created and distributed by that Sponsor. Sponsors are included in “Released Parties.”

10.  ELECTRONIC SIGNATURE & NO-REFUND POLICY

By completing your purchase through any Ticketing Platform—whether by clicking ‘I Agree,’ checking a box, or submitting payment—you consent to be bound by this Waiver and furnish an electronic signature with the same legal effect as a handwritten signature under the federal E-SIGN Act and Michigan’s UETA. Tickets are void if transferred to any person who has not completed American Summer’s electronic waiver and age verification; such bearer is deemed a trespasser and assumes all liability for any resulting loss or injury.

All ticket sales via any Ticketing Platform are final and non-refundable, including for no-shows, lateness, removal for cause, venue changes, weather, or cancellation beyond American Summer’s control. If you purchase multiple tickets, each ticket holder must separately accept this Waiver or be refused entry.

11.  GOVERNING LAW & VENUE

This Waiver is governed by Michigan law. Any dispute must be filed exclusively in the Circuit Court for Oakland County or the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Michigan, and you submit to those courts’ jurisdiction.

12.  SEVERABILITY & ENTIRE AGREEMENT

If any provision is unenforceable, it will be reformed only to the extent necessary, and the rest will remain in effect. This Waiver is the entire agreement between you and American Summer regarding the Event and supersedes prior statements. No modification binds American Summer unless in a signed writing.

13.  SURVIVAL

Notwithstanding any termination or expiration of this Waiver, the rights and obligations set forth in Sections 4 (Release of Liability), 5 (Defense, Indemnification & Hold-Harmless), 6 (Health & Communicable Disease), 7 (Alcohol & Conduct), 8 (Photo, Video & Marketing Release), and 10 (Electronic Signature & No-Refund Policy) shall survive and remain enforceable.
